Applications and Timing

If you meet the criteria, hold a Long Term Business Visa and are ready to apply for residence, the next step is to complete and submit an Entrepreneur Plus application (PDF, 281 KB).

When submitting your application you will need to provide documentary evidence that you meet all requirements. If you cannot demonstrate that you meet the requirements, your residence application cannot be approved.

You may submit your application through your local Immigration New Zealand branch and it will be transferred to the Business Migration Branch, or you can send the application to the Business Migration Branch directly.

We recommend that you keep a copy of your entire application and send the original with supporting documents to us by secure registered courier or registered post.

The application fee for the Entrepreneur Plus is $NZ 2,800.

What is the process and how long will it take?

The length of your individual application process depends on a number of factors, including whether you provide all of the information we need to assess your application at the start, whether there are any health issues you or your family members have which we need to assess, how quickly we are able to receive verification from external sources regarding the information you provide, and how quickly you are able to respond to requests we make for further information.
